Welcome to M.E.N.D.
Debriefing is a confidential, facilitated opportunity for a missionary to unpack and process their most recent term of service on the mission field. It is an opportunity to sit with safe people, in a safe place, and engage in safe conversation.

What is debriefing?
How did things go during your last season of ministry? What was achieved? What successes should be acknowledged? What aspects fell short of expectations?
How are you feeling at the moment? What are your current sources of stress? What responsibilities weigh on you? What accomplishments are bringing you joy? How are you handling this time of transition?
Are there any upcoming changes in store for you? Do you require any assistance or resources? What are you eagerly anticipating? Do you feel ready for the next season of ministry?
Ideally, it should be done as soon after the incident as possible.
Preferably within 24-72 hours.
There is no cost to the missionary, their sending church, or their sending agency.
Yes, we are honored to serve like-minded missionaries.
At each return to the United States following a term of service on the mission field, including at retirement. We suggest that the missionary be debriefed 2-3 months after they return. This allows for immediate needs and concerns to have been met.
No. Missionaries may find it therapeutic, but it is not considered therapy.
No. If it is determined during a debriefing that a missionary would benefit from biblical counseling; we will help facilitate that if help is requested.
Lives Changed
“A deeper understanding of the last season”
“The Luppinos were a tremendous blessing to us. They loved us and listened to what we had to say with compassion, rather than judgment. Their care helped us unpack many of our past struggles, not only from the mission field, but also from our past before going to the field. Mission debriefing should not only be provided to all missionaries, but required for them so they can stay on field and serve effectively.”
